"A yoga lover whose journey with movement began in the rhythmic world of dance during my childhood. Growing up, I intuitively grasped the importance of purposeful movement in the body. Infusing the grace of dance into my yoga practice has become second nature. I find joy in curating playlists that seamlessly synchronize with the flow of yoga, creating an immersive experience for every student. I am thrilled to be teaching at Winter Park Yoga, in the city where I was born, and raised! Join me on the mat for a harmonious blend of movement, mindfulness, and music – a journey of connecting the mind, body, and soul to foster a vibrant and balanced life!"
"Born in the spirited landscapes of Trinidad & Tobago, my life has been a testament to a deep-rooted commitment to Bhakti Yoga and a vegetarian lifestyle, which I have embraced from a young age. Now at 39, my journey has taken me from the disciplined life of a former United States Marine and a former Major for the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, to finding solace and healing in yoga after experiencing a heart attack. This pivot to Yoga asana was not just a choice but a necessity—a way to heal, find inner peace, and rebuild from the ground up. My experience of transformation through yoga, focusing on both the physical and the profound spiritual healing it offers, is what I am most passionate about sharing with others. My teaching is grounded in the holistic benefits of yoga, emphasizing the importance of emotional and spiritual well-being alongside physical health.
As an instructor, my strength lies in sharing the rich philosophy of yoga, combining it with practical life lessons to inspire a path of healing and spiritual awakening. I believe in the power of yoga as a medium for comprehensive healing, offering a haven for those seeking transformation and inner peace."

"Yoga has given me the freedom to move while embracing imperfection. As a dancer and personal trainer, I've always cherished movement but struggled with the pressure of perfectionism. Through yoga, I've found a way to express myself without the fear of making mistakes. This liberation motivates me to share this gift with others. Yoga is inclusive and meant for everyone, and I am excited to share this enriching spiritual and physical practice with the community at Winter Park Yoga."
"Since I first stepped on a yoga mat, over 30 years ago, yoga has been my place for inner-contemplation and inner-reflection. Yoga has taught me about my body’s innate intelligence in ways I never knew existed, and yoga has taught me how to listen to my body’s language with curiosity, kindness, and compassion.
What I love about yoga is its multiplicity; it can be messy, playful, invigorating, challenging, and peaceful, individually or all at once. Yoga responds to and provides me exactly what I need on any given day or at any time in my life. I love that yoga is a life-long practice that evolves and shifts as we evolve and shift throughout our lives. What excites me about joining the team and community at Winter Park Yoga is that with each new yoga space, there is potential for new yogis to discover the practice and for experienced yogis to discover new ways to express themselves, to trust their intuition, and to come back home to their bodies. "Growing up my parents were part of an ancient mystical order called Rosicrucianism, I grew up surrounded by spirituality and philosophical wisdom.
My thirst for mental and spiritual knowledge just kept growing alongside my seemingly more painful body. I felt exactly like the saying “you’re too young to feel this old”.
My body felt stuck, blocked, and locked.
One night I collapsed on my bedroom floor, I surrendered.
That very night yoga found me.
For months I intuitively moved my body with my breath alone in my bedroom, no structure or specific sequence… just flow.
Later that year I took my first vinyasa yoga class and nothing has been the same since.
It’s as though all the dots of my life connected in that moment and I found my path to unity.
Becoming a yoga teacher and sharing this beautiful practice with you is my way of thanking the practice for all it has done, and continues to do for me.
Thank you for sharing with me, I look forward to the honor and privilege of sharing with you.
Namaste!"
"I started my yoga practice right after college when I was beginning my new in-office, 9-5 lifestyle. I instantly fell in love with the practice and it gave me a balance of exercise and meditation outside of work that I needed. I also grew up doing competitive gymnastics, and the combination of flexibility, strength and balance in yoga really brings me back to that, which is a huge reason why I became obsessed so quickly! As an instructor I love to challenge yogis throughout the flow to try new postures and test their strength, and I always make sure to offer modifications, advancements or other variations to cater to all levels of yoga. I like to keep it light-hearted with fun modern playlists, while blending mindfulness, movement and meditation to create a captivating yoga experience!"
